Frogfish and Pygmy Seahorses

Frogfish
Today I dived with Keith, because Yvon wasn't feeling that great so she snorkelled with Tiki instead. Keith also had a camera so we dived well together, spotting various critters. The first dive was at Manta Point with Toni as our guide. First we came across a frogfish, then he pointed out a crinoid crab which I was pretty happy about.
Pygmy Seahorse
But then he excelled himself and found a pygmy seahorse, and I actually managed a good photo of one for once! I recommend clicking on it to enlarge the photo to see the seahorse properly. They are so tiny, I have no idea how the guides find them to be honest. Half the time they're pointing right at them and I can't see them. At the end of the dive on the safety stop I found two big cowries, so Keith and I spent a while photographing them while we

Crinoid Shrimp
For the second dive we went to Stingray City, where Toni showed me one of the animals I've been wanting to see for ages, a crinoid shrimp. Sounds geeky hey. But I was pretty excited and to my delight, the photo even came out well. He found another pygmy seahorse here but I couldn't get the camera to focus on it at all! The dive was nice and long, 70 minutes. The first two days I was diving with very new divers so the dives were shorter (but that was fine, Yvon was a great buddy!)

A third dive was tempting but the turnaround time between Dive 3 and the transfer to Semporna is only 5 minutes so I chose instead to have a shower and feel like a human again. The dive boat is also the transfer boat and they didn't even bother to wipe down the seats, so it was kind of unpleasant. We got back to Semporna and fixed up our bill, and walking around town I was glad we were going to Tawau.
